When did you develop a love of fashion? I was eight years old and my mum showed me how to use a sewing machine. Growing up I discovered punk, and then discovered Vivienne Westwood made to store the clothes themselves, then everything makes sense! What are your careers highlights so far? I’ve worked for some of the most amazing designers. Each one of them was at first an idol and afterwards a mentor. Meeting them was an accomplishment and working with them was inspiring. Describe the woman that you design for? Those are Feisty, chic, funny and bonkers. What were your biggest influences for your last collection? Last collection biggest influences are Abstract Glamour, a mash up of Peggy Guggenheim’s modernist sense of aesthetic, 50s French couture and 80s Japanese conceptual fashion’, and a lot more. What makes London such a great place to be for young designers? That is Variety and abundance’. London is one of the most thrilling places on earth it constantly stimulates the imagination and feeds the soul with a multitude of new ideas. What music is being played in your studio at the moment? Dub Step. What makes London Fashion Week so different from the other fashion weeks? It’s populated by an eclectic mix of talent, free from the constraints of commercial values and therefore able to be continuously inventive and avant garde. Finally, what was your highlight from LFW A/W 11? In Kinder Aggugini views,Putting the show together is always the most fun part of the season’.
